A word before the reset
Delivered to all citizens of Server 716 at the close of Season 1.
Citizens of 716,
Season 1 is done. Before anything else: thank you. Every one of you. We have shared victories and defeats, disagreements and celebrations, and through all of it we kept fighting together. It has been a season none of us will forget.
Some of you spent most of it shooting at me. No hard feelings. You made us better, and I would rather share a server with people who fight properly than with people who roll over. To WOne, OpZ, TCU, GRID, HON and PaPA: it was a scrap worth having. You have my respect, and you have my hand.
Now the practical business.
This website is a gift. OBU built it and OBU paid for it, and it belongs to the whole server. There is no alliance tag on the door. Every guide, every playbook, everything we know about what is coming, free to any citizen of 716 who wants it. We took the Capitol because we planned better, not because we were bigger. Sharing the planning costs us nothing and gains us a stronger server, and a stronger server is exactly what SvS sends into battle on our behalf.
The chair rotates. From Friday, the presidency passes to Jim Bob of OpZ. I am handing it over willingly and on schedule, and I ask every alliance to give him precisely the support you gave me. Rather more, ideally, since he has the misfortune of following me.
Let me be plain about what has changed and what has not. OBU holds the Capitol and OBU will keep holding it. The Capitol is the server's shield, and it stays garrisoned by the alliance that took it. The presidency is the server's voice, and it will pass from hand to hand. Power kept. Power shared. That is the arrangement, it is now in writing, and you may hold us to it.
Then there is Season 2. None of us knows exactly when it starts. Somewhere between a week and three weeks, and the countdown in your own client is the only clock worth trusting. Do not waste the gap. Stock up, finish what you started, and read the briefing on this website. It was written by people who have done this before, and it is honest about the parts we have not confirmed yet.
Cold weather coming. Bring fuel.
Let's continue putting 716 on the map.
Power kept. Power shared.
The chair moves. The Capitol does not. Here is the arrangement, in plain terms.
In games like this, power is taken and then hoarded until somebody prises it loose. That is the whole genre. We are doing something else, and we want it understood rather than admired: the Capitol and the presidency are now two different things.
The building. The garrison. The server's shield. Won by OBU against three alliances at once, and defended by OBU from here on. This does not rotate, because a shield that changes hands every week is not a shield. It is, however, contestable: Pledge 01 applies to us too. If an alliance one day grows strong enough to take the mantle, they are welcome to try. It will be a proper fight.
The presidency. The titles, the voice, the diplomacy. From Friday it belongs to Jim Bob of OpZ. After that it keeps moving. Holding the Capitol means we decide who sits in the chair, which is precisely why us giving it away means something.
Why do it at all? Because a server that fights itself for the chair every fortnight arrives at SvS exhausted, and SvS scores all of us together. The Capitol was worth fighting for. The chair is worth sharing. Those two sentences are the whole of our foreign policy.
A gift with a motive
OBU bought the domain and built the site. It is addressed to the whole of Server 716, including the alliances that were shooting at us last week.
We will not insult you by calling this pure charity. It is generous and self-interested, which is more believable than generous alone.
Here is the logic. Server versus Server scores the entire server, not the winning alliance. Every under-levelled account, every player who wastes a fortnight of Season 2 upgrading the wrong building, every R4 who has never seen a mud wall before, is a hole in the line when the invaders arrive. We cannot patch those holes with our own troops. We can patch them with information.
So everything goes on here. The Season 2 briefing. The Canyon Clash playbook. The event mechanics, as we confirm them. And where we do not know something, we will say we do not know rather than guess, because a confident wrong answer costs you a week of your season.

The nine pledges
Published as a campaign before the Capitol was ours. Kept as a government after we took it. Now surviving their first handover of power, which is the only test that has ever mattered.
We wrote these down in advance so you could hold us to them. That was the entire point, and it remains the entire point.
Cities are won, not gifted.
No handing out Level 6 cities to favourites. No carving the map into patronage. Handouts took the fun out of this game for too many people. Under OBU, every city stays contestable, for every alliance with the nerve to take one. We are giving the map back.
One rulebook. Applied to us first.
Server rules enforced the same for the biggest whale and the newest HQ. No favourites, and that includes our own members. Disputes settled impartially and in the open. Lead by example, or do not lead at all.
The fight stays fun.
We govern the server, never your playstyle. The NAP stays, to shield growth, not to breed laziness: 716 keeps its fighting edge and its readiness. Protection is a fine line. We will walk it with you, not for you.
The little guy gets a ladder.
We remember the climb, so we are lowering ropes. Guides, know-how and backing for any player or alliance hungry to develop and flourish in the new season. Nobody on 716 gets locked out of growing.
One server in SvS.
Coordinated. Occupation-first. Together. A united 716 banks more points, more Valor Medals and more reward boxes for every single player on it, whatever the headline result. We fight each other for fun. We fight other servers to win.
This page is the contract.
Every commitment here stays public. Decisions that affect the server get explained, not decreed. If we drift, quote us back at ourselves.
Free chicken wings.
The community asked. We deliver. Every constitution needs one promise nobody can break, and this is ours. Wings may be metaphorical. The spirit is not.
UnbreakableA war room for every R5
A protected area of this website where alliance leaders can read the battle plan ahead of every clash. Coordination without leaks. One server, one plan, no eavesdroppers. Delivered. See section 08.
The chair rotatesNew for S2
The presidency passes on a rotation, beginning with Jim Bob of OpZ this Friday. The alliance holding the Capitol decides who sits in the chair, and the alliance holding the Capitol has decided it should not always be us. Power kept. Power shared.
Winter is coming, and it is going to be slow
Tonight the board resets. Then there is a gap, and then there is Everfrost. This section tells you what to expect, what to do with the gap, and the one mechanic that will decide your entire season. No spoilers you would rather discover yourself. No numbers we have not seen with our own eyes.
The reset
The map and your city placement go. Your account does not. HQ level, research, heroes, gear, troops, alliance: all of it comes with you. What you lose is a position on a map that is about to be redrawn anyway.
The intermission
A tally period between seasons. Reports from other servers range from about six days to three weeks. Nobody can tell you which, and anybody who claims to is guessing.
Everfrost
An ice-tundra season with new buildings, new infected, new currencies and three new heroes. Different furniture, same game underneath. If you can read a build order you can win it.
The gap is not dead time. Spend it in three buckets.
- Fuel. Everything in Everfrost runs on killing infected, and killing infected runs on fuel. This is the single most valuable thing you can hoard. Do not spend it on nothing.
- Speed-ups. Construction and research both. Day one of a season is a building race and speed-ups are the only way to cheat at it.
- Unopened crates and packs. They do not age. Sitting in your bag they are a resource reserve; opened, they are a warehouse full of loot waiting to be farmed off you.
- Hero fragments, badges, equipment fragments. All of it carries. All of it is worth more on day one than it is tonight.
- Diamonds. Do not burn them on Season 1 vanity. There will be far better uses in a fortnight.
- Shields and teleports. The map is about to be redrawn and you will want a say in where you land and whether you survive the first night.
- Anything stamped Season 1. Seasonal shop stock, seasonal currency, unclaimed season pass tiers. Claim and clear the lot before reset.
- Event shop inventory that you know resets between seasons. Empty the shelves.
- Items with an expiry timer. Check your bag. Sort by expiry. Use them or lose them.
- Half-finished anything. A research that completes tonight is progress; a research that is 40% done and forgotten is nothing.
- Research. Never resets, never taken from you, compounds all season. If you are idle, you should be researching.
- Hero levels, skills and stars on your main formation. Season 2 heroes arrive as an addition to your roster, not a replacement for it.
- Gear and chips. Slow, permanent, boring, decisive.
- Troop tiers and hospital capacity. Capacity is a defensive stat. Ask anyone who has watched troops die because the beds were full.
- Alliance tech. Cheap for you, compounding for a hundred people.
The interim checklist
Tick as you go. It saves in your browser, so you can come back to it.
The one mechanic that decides your season: Resistance
If you read nothing else on this page, read this. Everfrost is not won by power. It is won by keeping one building upgrading.
Frostbanes
Tap any node to read it.
The build order, in priority
Straight from Hanksol's Season 2 notes, which are the cleanest source we have. Follow it in order and do not improvise.
- Bio LabAbove everything else. Keep it upgrading as often as physically possible. It raises Resistance, and Resistance is the throttle on your whole season.
- Smart Greenhouses — all fiveBuild and upgrade every one of them early. They produce Ice Blooms, and Ice Blooms are the hard bottleneck on Bio Lab progress. Under-build these and you spend the back half of the season waiting.
- Farm Frost CoresFrostbanes every single day, and join every alliance rally you can. A rally kill costs the same attempt as a solo kill and pays considerably better.
- Combat Buildings — lastCommand Post, Icy Arsenal, Icy Fort. They make your troops stronger and they will tempt you constantly. Wait until the Bio Lab is around level 28, then invest freely while still upgrading the Lab whenever you can.
Bio Lab blocked? Read the blocker, not the internet.
| What it is asking for | What you do about it |
|---|---|
| Ice Blooms | Upgrade a Smart Greenhouse. Always. There is no other answer. |
| Frost Cores | Kill Frostbanes and join alliance rallies. Stop spending Cores elsewhere. |
| Ordinary resources | Gather, and clear your dailies. Unglamorous, quick, fixes itself. |
Mastery: go Support first
Season 2 brings the Mastery Hall and a mastery tree with two paths open at the start, Support and Combat, with Combat locked until you have progressed, and a third path listed as available later. The level ceiling is 30.
Our working doctrine, which lines up with Hanksol's Bio Lab guidance: run Support first and stay on it until the Bio Lab is around level 28, then switch to Combat. Support feeds construction, resources and Resistance, which is exactly what the early season is starved of. Switch to Combat too early and you slow the only building that matters.

What else is coming, named but not spoiled
You will meet these during Everfrost. We are giving you the names so that nothing arrives as a surprise, and deliberately no numbers, because the only figures we have come from guides written for other servers and other seasons.
| Feature | What it broadly is | Status for 716 |
|---|---|---|
| Snow Leopards | A second infected type that drains the same daily attempts as Frostbanes for less reward. Kill Frostbanes first, Leopards only with what is left. | Corroborated |
| Frozen Rescue | A midweek event where you thaw and farm trapped animals. Co-operative scouting speeds it up considerably. | Names only |
| Snowman Mania | A collectable build-up event using snowballs, with a decoration reward at the top. | Names only |
| Endless Night Falls | A seasonal event. We know it exists. We do not yet know how it scores. | Unverified |
| Core Proliferation | A later-season change to how infected kills pay out, generally in your favour. | Unverified |
| Arctic store & Season Journey | A seasonal shop and a seasonal task track. Save your early currency for buildings rather than the shop. | Names only |
| Cross-server season grouping | Reports from elsewhere suggest servers are pooled into groups for seasonal objectives. Potentially the single biggest strategic fact about Season 2. | Unverified — do not plan on it |
Pick by what you march, not by what you like
Three new heroes arrive with Everfrost: Bella, Alma and Harleyna, one per faction. Here is the thing almost everybody gets wrong on day one.
Tap your dominant troop type:
Bella
Health of Assaulters in the troop led increases by 15%.
★★ Assaulter DMG +3%
★★★ Assaulter DMG +5%
★★★★ Assaulter DMG +5%
Alma
Health of Shooters in the troop led increases by 15%.
★★ Shooter DMG +3%
★★★ Shooter DMG +5%
★★★★ Shooter DMG +5%
Harleyna
Health of Riders in the troop led increases by 15%.
★★ Rider DMG +3%
★★★ Rider DMG +5%
★★★★ Rider DMG +5%
Two footnotes that matter. The figures above are read straight off the skill panels in our own client with the hero at level 30 and all four skills maxed, so treat them as the ceiling rather than what you get on day one. And the star bonuses are listed exactly as the client lists them; we have not yet tested whether they accumulate or replace one another, so do not build a spreadsheet on it until somebody on 716 has checked.
The faction counter triangle is unchanged and still applies: Blood Rose beats Guard of Order, Wings of Dawn beats Blood Rose, Guard of Order beats Wings of Dawn. That governs which hero you send at an enemy. Your troop type governs which hero you buy. Do not confuse the two decisions.
The playbook is already built
Canyon Command
Our command centre for Canyon Clash, the Friday-night VS battlefield. No SvS points on the line. Just fun and bragging rights, and we still gave it the full treatment: standing doctrine, an interactive war table, minute-by-minute orders for all twenty soldiers.
It is advice, not orders: a plan that worked, offered to anyone on 716 who wants a better Friday night. Take the bits you like.
If that is what we build for the fun stuff, imagine what Season 2 gets. No imagination required any more. It is two sections up, and it is yours.
Pledge 08, delivered
A protected area for alliance leadership. Battle plans, positions, timings and rally calls for SvS, published to the people who have to run them and to nobody else.
Everything on the public side of this website is deliberately public. The war room is deliberately not, because the opposing server can read a website exactly as well as you can. Public philosophy, protected specifics. That has been the rule since the first site and it is not changing now.
Access is for R5s and appointed war leads of any alliance on Server 716. Not just OBU. If you run an alliance here and you want the plan, ask for the passphrase by in-game mail and you will have it.
Contents encrypted in the browser. The passphrase never leaves your device.
Seven banners. One server.
Last season some of these were shooting at each other. This season one of them holds the Capitol and another holds the chair. That is not weakness. That is 716.

from Friday

Any alliance on 716 that wants its banner, its title or its plan represented here has only to ask. The door is open and it does not lock.
Four things, between now and Everfrost
01 · Stock up
Fuel above all. Then speed-ups. The gap is a stockpiling window and most of the server will waste it.
02 · Read the briefing
Bio Lab first, five Greenhouses early, Combat Buildings last. Send it to the newest member of your alliance.
03 · Back the new President
From Friday that is Jim Bob of OpZ. The rotation only works if the server treats the chair as the chair, whoever is in it.
04 · Hold us to the nine
Screenshot the pledges. Ask the awkward questions in server chat. That is what they are there for.
All of it by in-game mail and server chat. That is where 716 lives and this website is only ever a noticeboard beside it.
One blood. One server. 716 united.
The awkward ones
Why would OBU give the presidency away?
Because a server that fights itself for the chair every fortnight arrives at SvS exhausted, and SvS scores every one of us together. We wanted the Capitol because it is a shield worth holding. The chair is a voice worth sharing. Also, frankly, a presidency that nobody else can ever hold is a presidency nobody else will ever defend.
Is OBU leaving the Capitol, then?
No. The Capitol stays garrisoned by the alliance that took it, and we will defend it against anything that walks up to it. The rotation is of the presidency, not of the fortress. We have been deliberately blunt about this rather than letting anyone discover it later and feel misled.
When does Season 2 actually start?
Nobody knows, and anybody who gives you a date is guessing. Season timing in this game is set per server, so every calendar online belongs to somebody else's server. Reports range from roughly six days to three weeks. Watch the countdown in your own client, and when it appears, post it in server chat.
Do I lose my progress at reset?
No. The map and your city placement reset. Your account comes with you: HQ, research, heroes, gear, troops, alliance. You are losing a position on a board that is about to be redrawn, not the work you put in.
Which Season 2 hero should I buy?
The one that matches your dominant troop type, because all three buff a troop type rather than a faction. Assaulters means Bella, Shooters means Alma, Riders means Harleyna. See section 06, and ignore the portraits when you decide.
Is this an OBU site or a server site?
OBU paid for it. Server 716 owns it. If that sounds like a contradiction, treat it as a bet: we think a better-informed server wins more, including for us. Every alliance is welcome to a banner on the roll call and a seat in the war room.
Why is half this page hedged with "unverified"?
Because a confident wrong answer costs you a week of your season. There is a near-identical game with the same systems and different hero names, and most Season 2 guides on the internet are quietly about that one. We publish what we have seen in our own client, we label what we have only read, and we say so when we do not know.
What if OBU breaks a pledge?
Screenshot this page and be insufferable about it in server chat. We wrote it down precisely so that you could.
